Owned preview / Source review on 5 October 2026SteadCo Visibility Snapshot
Owned preview implementation sample, not an external-client audit
What we reviewed.
A read-only review of four routes in the new SteadCo preview: Search & Sites, Findability Sprint, Visibility Snapshot and Privacy. The original production site was not changed or audited.
Source checkpoint: 04:10 UTC. The proposed Care detail and measurement-access note were added after these observations. The legal/privacy launch gate remains open.
Three findings, with next actions.
P1 before selling careThe sprint scope is concrete; the monthly care scope is still a placeholder.
/findability-sprint states$1,750, one service/location, up to five pages; its Care paragraph says exact scope and change allowance will be confirmed later.
Recommended change: Add the owner-approved care limit before selling it: one site/location, monthly technical/form/link check, up to two existing-page edits within two implementation hours, one recommendation and a change summary. Keep it optional.
P0 before taking real customer dataThe preview privacy page correctly discloses unresolved operating details and restricts use to synthetic internal tests.
/privacy says final privacy contact, retention, deletion process and processor disclosures need confirmation, and instructs synthetic internal test data only.
Recommended change: Before public launch, approve the responsible contact, retention/deletion workflow and disclosures; test the actual request-handling process. Keep private access until those decisions are complete.
P1 proposal clarityMeasurement baseline is included in the offer, while its access requirements are not explained beside that item.
Both commercial route bodies list a measurement baseline. The reviewed nearby copy describes staging/access generally but does not say what happens without analytics authorization.
Recommended change: Add a concise note: public-page observations are always recorded; traffic/search reporting depends on owner-authorized analytics/Search Console access. If unavailable, label it not tested.
What was not tested.
- Live deployment or crawl/index eligibility at this checkpoint
- Search results or rankings
- Search Console/analytics, traffic, leads or conversions
- Third-party listings or Google Business Profile
- Mobile rendering, accessibility, speed and server behavior (independent preview QA owns these)
- Existing production site, contracts or configuration
What implementation changes.
Two content findings were repaired in the preview source and rechecked. The privacy/operator decisions remain a public-launch gate. This demonstrates a small review/change/recheck workflow, not measured search or commercial results.
Evidence: the owned preview’s route content at the recorded checkpoint; Google Search Central AI features guidance.
